Drive across one of the most beautiful landscape of Iceland. Rich green neadows, superb alpine landscape witha numerous glaciers and geysirs. All this you find in the Thingvellir National Park, national shrine of Iceland.

Drive to the southernmost point of Iceland, to the peninsula of Dyrholaey. There is a gigantic black arch of lava standing in the sea, which gave the peninsula its name "the hilll-island with the door-hole". In the summertime many seabirds and puffins nest on the cliffs. Shorte hike to the waterfall Svartifoss in the Skaftafell National Park.

Drive along rugged fjords and numerous harbour villages. The tongue of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and the luminous blue icebergs are the major attraction in Jökulsarlon.

Drive across the nice area of Myvatn. The lake and its surrounding wetlands have an exceptionally rich fauna of waterbirds, especially ducks. The name of the lake comes from the huge numbers of midges to be found there in the summer. Numerous hot springs and bizarr lava formations. A paradise for bird and nature lovers. Good chances to see whales in Husavik.

Drive across green valleys to Akureyri. This is the most important city of the northern part of Iceland. Drive along the fjords, with luck, seals can be seen.

On the way to Reykjavik, visit the lava waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnafossar. The last chance to take a bath, is at the blue lagoon near the airport.

Drive to Keflavik and drop off your vehicle.
