The South Island is rich in variety of landscapes, golden beaches, turquoise blue water, exploring fjords by boat, hiking on a glacier, islands in it’s natural state.

Due to the geographical isolation of over 80 million years, New Zealand's flora and fauna is very diverse. Around 82% of the plants are endemic. The flightless kiwi is the symbol of New Zealand. The Kea is one of the smartest birds in the world. Whales, dolphins, sea lions, penguins, Wekaralle, Takahe, Bird of the World. Weka, Takahe, Tuisittich, Kuckuckskauz and many more can be observed.

There are 3 types of camping possibilities in New Zealand. “Wild Camping” is allowed except in the areas with a sign “Camping prohibited”. Campgrounds in or around the National Parks are very basic, but the experience is outstanding. Rates are approx. NZD 10-20. “Top 10 Holiday Parks” are campgrounds with full facilities. Rates are approx. NZD 35-60. During high season, we recommend to pre reserve popular sites.
